Third Reich 10 x 50 Binoculars & Case with Provenance

Excellent set of Third Reich 7 by 50 Binoculars with original case with Provenance. The binoculars are manufactured by Ernst Leitz G.m.b.h Wetzler [War Time Code beh.] and are in excellent fully functional condition with clear optics .The left is impressed in white "BRIGADIER M.P.BOGERT" thereafter the maker "beh" followed by "KF" for cold resistant. The right is impressed " Dienstglas and the serial number which is faded but looks like 388801
The leather case with white stitching is in good solid condition with the spring loaded lid catch fully functional. The case is period marked baring Waffan Amt WaA Code and dated 1942. Attached to the exterior of the case is a number of horse meeting race tags from the 1960s
We have carried out limited researched which reveals the following;
Brigadier Mortimer Patrick Bogert b 1908 to 1999 served extensively throughout WW2 in the Canadian Divisions attached to the British Army. Serving in both Greece and Italy including Anzio and Monte Cassino with distinction. Ending the War as General Officer Commander in Chief Eastern Command
Promoted to Brigadier General in 1953 and Maj General in 1962
During his service he was awarded the following;
The Order of Valour from Greece
Distinguished Service Order for service in Italy
The Legion of Merit from the U.S for service in Korea
In addition the C.B.E and M.B.E
Further more detailed research would be merited
